What Is So Great About The New Manduka Apparel.

Nothing Basic About It: All New Manduka Apparel.

The all new Manduka apparel – mindfully designed basics that perform in any practice.

Time for a refresh! It’s been roughly five years since we set out to provide yogis with performance apparel that rivaled the quality of our industry-leading mats. In that time, Manudka collected feedback from teachers, studios, ambassadors and yogis of all levels around the globe to understand how they could reimagine the apparel offering.

Not all yogis have the same needs and that's why Manduka created different collections that are catered towards each yogi's own unique desires for apparel. Manduka played around with new, flattering cuts and styles, sourced high quality fabrics that offer performance features like sweat-wicking and cooling and strategically worked to make the sustainable choice whenever possible.

Practice in style with high tech, sustainable fabrics designed to keep you cool, dry and focused whenever sweat strikes.

It’s in the name—this line of apparel has been designed with sweat, or rather lack of sweat, as the focus. With fabric that offers fast-drying and cooling capabilities, along with an added mesh layer in the waistband to keep everything in place this line is the culmination of fashion meets function.

Second-skin comfort meets high performance technology for fabrics that breathe, stretch and move with you.

Manduka carefully puts together this line of apparel with comfort and ease of movement in mind. The fabric mimics a second-skin-like softness to flow with you and the moisture management capabilities help with light sweat.

Rise and align with light compression and soft, stretchy fabrics made to maximize comfort and eliminate distraction in any kind of practice.

The most versatile collection of the bunch, with styles that lend themselves to a variety of practices and occasions. Made with soft, subtle fabric that has a cotton hand feel, this collection feels great in and or out of the studio. In fact, Manduka reduced the compression and ditched the fold-over waistband to specifically provide you with all day comfort.

Stay cool in luxuriously soft, breathable fabrics designed to keep you comfortable in any kind of workout.

The Manduka collection is also designed with men in mind. Luxurious fabrics with performance features such as sweat-wicking capabilities, four-way stretch and a comfortable peached surface make this collection soft, breathable and durable.

This is perfect for yoga but, you can use the Manduka collection for many sports or just as comfort pants on a lazy Sunday at home.

We recommend the training Manduka Joggers.

The Ultimate Yoga Guide for Beginners

The Ultimate Yoga Guide for Beginners

Starting something new can be scary, and finding yourself in a yoga studio as a beginner is no exception. With unfamiliar names for poses and even stranger-sounding Sanskrit words, being a new yogi can often feel like learning a new language.

That's why it's important to make sure you start your yoga journey with a class structured specifically for beginners. Beginner classes start with the absolute basics, structuring sequences in an easy-to-follow way, even for someone with no idea what Downward-Facing Dog means.

A few essentials to prepare for your first class:

  1. Great yogi apparel. Whether you’re doing a low-key flow or something more intense, investing in performance apparel made specifically for yoga will make your movements feel and look good. Here’s what we’re loving for Woman and Men.

  2. A quality yoga mat. Especially for beginners, a comfortably-cushioned yoga mat will encourage confidence from the ground up. brands like Manduka, Love generation, Yogi and Yogini have some perfect beginners yoga mats.

  3. A yoga towel. One of the reasons we flow in yoga is to build heat in the body to help avoid injury. This also means you will most likely get a bit sweaty. To avoid slip and keep your practice in place, a yoga towel like this is a necessity.

There are so many benefits to taking an online yoga class as a beginner: Convenience and variety are just two. Many new yogis join from home on a laptop, while others sneak in a quick 10-minute class on their mobile phones during their lunch break.

you don’t even have to leave your home to achieve that same sense of bliss that you get in the yoga studio.

By cutting out travel distance and designated class schedules, a personal yoga space gives you the freedom to sweat it out and strengthen your practice on your own time, whether you’ve got an hour or five minutes.

With live online classes, you can enjoy the benefits of a yoga studio from home simply by turning on your camera so your teacher can see you. They won't be able to hear you, but they can observe your practice through the camera and give tips and encouragement throughout class.

Live classes make for an amazing at-home yoga experience, allowing teachers and students to meet and connect with each other. We recommend joining a live class a few minutes early so you can switch on your camera and position your device so your teacher will be able to see you.

7 important tips for yoga succes

Yoga has been proven to relieve stress by using exercises that unify the mind, body, and spirit.
If you are new to yoga, these seven tips will start you on the road to a more centered life.

1. Talk to your doctor and explain what type of yoga poses you intend to practice. Show your doctor pictures of the poses for illustration. Your doctor may rule out specific poses if you have high blood pressure, glaucoma, a history of retinal detachment, or heart disease. Make sure you follow your doctors recommendations.

2. Find a yoga class that best fits your abilities. Talk to prospective teachers, and decide whether of not you can handle a program before you sign up.
It's very important to take one step at a time. Try a few beginner classes before you attempt more vigerous classes. Don't move ahead too quickly. Allow your body to adjust to your exercises.

3. Listen to your body and be aware of your physical abilities. You don't want to hurt yourself. Make sure the instructor understands your level of experience and any limitations you may have. Don't allow anyone to push you ahead too quickly. Remember, this is supposed to be fun and relaxing.

4. If you can't find a class that meets your needs, you can always practice yoga at home. There are many books, programs, and tapes available to help you get started. Search for the best products on the Internet and read reviews. Talk to others for recommendations. Their are multiple options. We highly reccomend Yoga with kassandra where you'll find weekly Yin Yoga and Vinyasa Flow classes for all experience levels.

5. Why not try private lessons? You can book some one-on-one sessions with a teacher in your area. Most yoga instructors offer private classes or can help you design your own program. This is a good way to get started. You can always take group lessons or practice at home after you've had private lessons and learned the basics.

6. Find a yoga buddy. It's nice to practice with someone and it will help reduce injuries. It's also a great way to keep up your enthusiasm and interest.

7. Eat lightly before practice. Wait at least two hours after meals before yoga class or practice. An empty stomach is best, but don't let yourself get too hungry to think. You won't be able to focus on the poses or enjoy yourself during the relaxation or meditation exercises.

Now it's time to find your perfect yogamat, a towel, an eco friendly drink bottle and get the most out of your yoga exercises.

You can find what you need in the Health Matters shop. We provide a lot of intressting products to get started with your first yoga experience.
